Huawei is positioning the Pura 80 as a premium option for users seeking a compact smartphone with long-lasting battery life. The device, currently priced around 10,96-9 pesos, targets consumers who prioritize portability without sacrificing camera performance, according to xataka.com.mx.

Measuring 157.7 x 74.4 x 8.2 mm, the phone fits easily into pockets or bags. While the dimensions are small, the device weighs 211 grams due to its substantial 5,600 mAh battery. This battery supports 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, according to the report.

High-end display and camera specs

The smartphone features a 6.6-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution. The screen offers a 120 Hz refresh rate and utilizes Kunlun Glass 2 for enhanced resistance against drops and scratches.

On the photography front, the Pura 80 utilizes Huawei's XMage branding for its triple rear sensor setup. The system includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens capable of 5.5x optical zoom and up to 50x digital zoom.

Under the hood, the device runs on a HiSilicon Kirin 9020 processor paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The device operates on EMUI 15.0, built on top of Android. However, the outlet reported that users should expect extra steps during setup because Google services are not pre-installed.

Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 5 GHz, and Bluetooth 5.2 LE. The hardware also features an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. Currently, the device is available through various retailers including Amazon, Mercado Libre, and Palacio de Hierro.
