Increase in AI usage among Chilean workers

The use of artificial intelligence in the Chilean labor market has experienced notable growth over the past year. According to the results of a recent survey by Cadem, 48% of workers report using AI tools in their professional duties, marking a significant jump from the 34% recorded in the previous period.

The data shows a decrease in the group of employees who do not use this technology, which fell from 61% to 46%. This shift reflects the progressive integration of automation into the daily routines of the Chilean workforce.

Productivity and training

Regarding the technology's capacity to execute tasks, 26% of those surveyed believe that AI can handle "nearly all or a good amount" of their work, compared to 23% last year. Meanwhile, 36% estimate that the tool assists with "some" of their tasks.

Perceptions of the benefits of AI are largely positive. 69% of respondents agree that artificial intelligence allows for faster work and improved quality of results. Additionally, 55% of workers claim to have become more efficient through its use.

A skills gap is also evident in employee sentiment. 64% of participants believe that the difference between those who know how to use AI and those who do not is clearly noticeable in the workplace.

Faced with this transformative landscape, 70% of workers expressed a willingness to acquire new skills or undergo training to adapt to an algorithm-driven work environment. Likewise, the same proportion of people agree that the technology can enhance personal productivity.
