A car plowed into a crowd on a street in the eastern German city of Leipzig on Monday, killing at least two people and leaving several others injured, according to authorities.
The vehicle struck a group of people on a street leading into a central shopping area, Al Jazeera reported.
German police have arrested the driver in connection with the incident, Al Jazeera stated.
A pattern of attacks
This incident follows a series of similar car-ramming attacks that have occurred across Germany in recent years.
