Tyson Fury will return to professional boxing to face Arslanbek Makhmudov at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The heavyweight bout marks the fifth time the British fighter has emerged from retirement.

The 37-year-old Fury, known as the 'Gypsy King,' has been absent from the ring for 15 months following two consecutive losses to undefeated champion Oleksund Usyk. He enters the fight with a professional record of 34 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw.

Makhmudov, a Dagestani fighter based in Canada, presents a significant physical threat. The 36-year-old holds a record of 21-2-0 and boasts a 90 percent knockout rate. Despite being slightly shorter than Fury at 198cm, his punching power makes him a dangerous opponent.

Fury stated to the BBC that he feels "as good as I've ever felt" and is currently "as sharp as I've ever been." He noted that the prospect of facing a dangerous opponent like Makhmudov has served as a primary motivator.

A clash of styles

While Fury is eyeing a potential future fight against Anthony Joshua, he acknowledges the immediate danger posed by the heavyweight contender. "I know I've got a stone-cold killer in this man and he can put me out with one shot," Fury told the BBC.

Makhmudov, who has previously fought in Russia, described Fury as a "legend" and a "professor of mind and boxing." He intends to rely on mental and spiritual strength to overcome the British veteran.

"I don't know how I will beat [Fury], but of course I believe I will win," Makhmudov told The Guardian. He characterized the upcoming bout as a "war between mental and spiritual."

The main card is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. GMT and will be broadcast live on Netflix. The co-main event features a heavyweight clash between Conor Benn and Regis Prograis, scheduled for approximately 9:30 p.m. GMT.
