Major cinema chains operating in Chile have announced the return of the annual Cinema Day, offering significant discounts on movie tickets for a three-day event in April. The promotion, which serves as a seasonal highlight for moviegoers, will run from Monday, April 20, through Wednesday, April 22.
The event provides a variety of discounted options for different film formats. Tickets for standard 2D and 3D screenings will be available starting at $2,000.
Pre-sale opportunities for the 2026 Cinema Day festivities are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 15. Patrons can purchase these tickets through the official websites of the country's primary theater operators.
Pricing and film lineup
The participating networks include Cinemark, Cinépolis, Cineplanet, Muvix, and Cine Star. Each chain will offer the promotional rates across its digital platforms.
While standard sessions will feature the lowest entry price, premium formats will carry a different rate. Tickets for specialized screenings, such as IMAX and D-BOX, are priced at $4,000.
The programming for the three-day period includes several notable titles. The lineup featuresSuper Mario Galaxy: La Película,Proyecto Fin del Mundo,La Misteriosa Mirada del Flamenco, andHoppers: Operación Castor.
