Former model Pedro Lladser has broken his silence to defend his reputation following public accusations of financial neglect made by his ex-wife, Mariel Aereboe.
The dispute erupted after Aereboe shared an Instagram story featuring an audio clip of a man stating he could no longer provide money for his children. Aereboe added text to the post claiming Lladser maintains a separate family and lifestyle while neglecting his parental responsibilities.
Lladser responded via an Instagram post, stating he can no longer tolerate the damage to his honor. He characterized the claims as defamatory and harmful to their children.
“I cannot continue to endure my honor being tarnaged, being portrayed as a bad father, indifferent, and irresponsible with my duties,” Lladser wrote.
Lladser details financial support
Lladser provided specific details regarding his financial obligations, asserting that he covers the costs of education, healthcare, and monthly allowances for his daughters. He also noted that he pays a monthly economic compensation sum to Aereboe.
According to Lladser, one of his daughters, Josefina, lives with him, while the other, Julieta, resides with Aereboe. He claimed that he pays for university tuition, school fees, and health insurance for both.
“I am the one who pays for schools, I am the one who monthly pays their universities, I am the one who monthly pays their health system,” Lladser stated.
Lladser also addressed the impact of the public dispute on their children. He argued that while he previously remained silent to protect them, his daughters are now old enough to discern the truth.
“Speaking from resentment may provide momentary relief, but the consequences are ultimately paid by those who least deserve it,” Lladser said, adding that careless words leave lasting scars on their children's hearts.
